God Has a Plan for You. October 26th

Read: John 1:19-36

John knew who he was and what he was called to do. This was one of the keys to his success.

Unlike most of us, John the Baptist did not have an identity crisis growing up. He knew God’s plan and purpose for his life from the beginning, and he spent his entire life preparing for it.

God has a plan for your life as well. To succeed in life, you must first find God’s plan for your life and then devote yourself to fulfilling that plan.

It is not enough to simply ‘do your own thing’ and then ask God to bless it. Once you know you are doing God’s will, you never have to ask for God’s blessing. Walking in God’s will comes with automatic blessing.

The Lord created you with a purpose in mind. Your talents and abilities were given to you to fulfill His purpose. Although you will find limited success using these talents for your own purposes. You will never fulfill your true potential until you figure out God’s plan and purpose for your life and begin to actively pursue it.

The good news is that God wants to reveal His perfect plan for your life to you more than you want to know it. You can rest assured that if you ask for knowledge of His plan for your life, you will receive answers

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Finding and proving God’s will and plan for your life starts with willingness and a renewed mind.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
