Statement of Faith

As a local body of believers, we affirm these foundational truths as the basis of our faith, worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission. We exist to glorify God, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and live by the power of the Holy Spirit in faithful obedience to the Word of God.

God and Creation

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, sovereign, gracious, and worthy of all worship. We believe that God created all things, sustains all things, and governs all creation according to His perfect will and for His glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sin, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead. He ascended to the Father and reigns as Lord, Savior, and King.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort, moral achievement, or religious works, but is the gift of God, received through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. Through Him, sinners are forgiven, made new, reconciled to God, and called to walk in newness of life.

The Absolute Authority of Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is fully trustworthy, continually relevant, and sufficient to instruct, correct, encourage, and equip believers for a life of faithfulness in Christ.

The Life of the Believer

We believe in the transforming power of God’s grace, by which hearts are changed, minds are renewed, and believers are empowered to live holy, fruitful, and faithful lives in fellowship with Christ and His Church.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the life of every believer and that we are to experience the Holy Spirit in two distinct ways.

The Holy Spirit Within Us: The Holy Spirit dwells permanently within believers, giving access to the Father, deepening intimacy with God, transforming character, and leading us into all truth.

The Holy Spirit Upon Us: The Holy Spirit empowers believers with spiritual gifts, boldness, and supernatural ability for ministry, service, and witness.

The Church and Ordinances

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers and expressed through faithful local congregations. As a local church body, we gather for worship, discipleship, fellowship, prayer, service, and the proclamation of the gospel. We observe baptism by immersion as an outward expression of faith in Jesus Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. We also observe Communion in obedience to Christ’s command and in remembrance of His sacrifice.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, glorious, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the full establishment of God’s eternal kingdom of peace and righteousness.

In all things, we seek to be a faithful local church body devoted to Christ, grounded in Scripture, strengthened by grace, and committed to loving God, serving one another, praying for the sick and hurting, and bearing witness to the gospel in our community and beyond.
