How to Become a Christian

The Prayer of Salvation

Heavenly Father,

I come to You today admitting that I am a sinner. I have lived life my own way, and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross to pay the price for my sins, and that He rose from the dead to give me eternal life.

Lord Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart and life today. I turn away from my past and surrender my future to You. Wash me clean, make me new, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I receive Your free gift of grace and declare that You are my Lord and Savior.

Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and making me a child of God. From this day forward, I am Yours.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
